Day 1 - Flight to Rome -> Cab to Rome -> Santa Maria Maddalena -> Pantheon -> Piazza Nanova

This was our 2nd visit to Rome. We actually planned to tour Greece but hubby suggested to transit at Rome since it offered plenty of photo opportunities. Redeemed krisflyer miles for one way to Rome at 38k miles/person with tax of $34/person. What a steal!

Stayed at airbnb at Rome for 2 nights for $248. Owner helped booked a cab at 50€. Since the airbnb was not ready when we arrived at about 1030am, we went to Pantheon to look for Lindt spoon cholocate shop and tried to break a $500 note at a bank. The bank refused to break it up as i was not their customer!

Located at the end of via della Maddalena, one of the streets leading from the Piazza della Rotonda in the Campo Marzio area of historic Rome, near the Pantheon was Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena.

Stopped by the Lindt shop to buy the spoon chocolates. The shop also did not have small change for a $500 note!
the Lindt shop was very near to Pantheon. There were so many tourists at the Pantheon and many restaurants lined the square. Competition was really stiff.

Via Giustiniani, Coop was round the corner. We bought salad here. 1 packet for 2€.

We continued our stroll towards Piazza Navona. It was not particularly spectacular - just a square with a 3 fountains and many artists selling their work and pieces.

A shortwalk later, we arrived at Piazza Navona.
