USA East Coast/Canada Trip May 12-23 2014 Summary/Itinerary

The pace of the tour was quite alright except for one or two days. The days spent at NYC and Niagara Falls were more relaxed. To be fair, we did spend quite a considerable amount of quality time at some cities like Niagara Falls and Quebec City which is beautiful.

Because of the low cost of the tour, the agent will try to sell many attractions & meals with admission. And if you opt out of these, you are literally left alone, for example, you have to look for rest room yourself once you got off the bus as the guide will not give you any info on these. His priority is on those who join the attractions and meals.

Foodwise, most of the recommended meals were not up to my standards and some were overpriced. The meal which disappointed me most was at Chinatown Toronto. The Western and French meals were so so only and overpriced or was that the standard or cost in US & Canada.

The hotels were big and good. Quality Hotel Niagara was the only one that looked more like a motel but it was within walking distance to the Falls and Sheraton Laurel was a bit run down. 1 or 2 hotels have microwave and most hotels had WIFI in the room. Only exception is Sheraton Laurel.

In summary, there will be always be pros and cons taking up such a package but overall, it was quite a good package and enjoyable holiday.

Total amount spent per person is ~3.5k sing dollars.
